We are delighted to announce our expansion into Manchester City Centre with a partnership with The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University. The refurbishment of The Salutation, the Victorian era tiled pub, run by The Union, has now been completed and it reopened at the beginning of September.
Working with The Union we have advised on all aspects of the pub to bring to it some of our winning formula. The deal means we will have two keg lines and four cask lines including our best selling pale ale, Long Hop. Alongside this the addition of the Taddington brewed Moravka Lager, a staple in our existing three pubs.
Managing Director Lee Wainwright said “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to be in Manchester, we have a lot of loyal supporters who live and work in and around the University, so the Salutation not only fits our brand perfectly but also allows us to keep our fans happy with loads of Long Hop and Oat Mill Stout.”
Paul Norman, project manager and Head of Membership Services for The Union said “The pub looks amazing and the work done has brought our vision to life.”
We worked with our refurbishment partners Cactus Design and Integral Design to deliver a brief set out by The Union based on other sympathetic redesign work done in our own pubs.
The pub will offer a smaller, more targeted food menu including a legendary burger and amazing home made giant pork scratchings.
So if you find yourselves in Manchester and particularly the Oxford Road area pop in for a pint and a pork scratching.
